We set up a very icy (in fact, frictionless) ramp at just the correct angle so that a puck will slide down the ramp with an acceleration of 4.0 m/s2. I station myself at a point that is 2.0 m (along the ramp) from the bottom. Let’s call this place the origin (x=0), and let downhill al ong the ramp be the positive x direction. From the origin, I now launch a puck up the ramp with a speed of 3.0 m/s

.(a) While the puck is going up the ramp, the x component of its velocity is negative and it is slowing down. Is the x component of its acceleration positive or negative?

(b) Find how much time it takes before the puck turns around and starts sliding back down the ramp.

c) What is the puck’s acceleration (magnitude and direction) at the moment that it reaches its highest point on the ramp?

(d) While the puck is going down the ramp, is the x component of its acceleration positive or negative?(e) Find the velocity of the puck (magnitude and direction) when it gets to the bottom of the ramp, 2.0 m from the origin
