Patient A is a student and has a problem with sleep averaging 3-4 hours per night. All of her study time is done on one big night the evening before the multiple-choice exam. Her primary study technique is just rereading her notes and the chapters. She checks her phone frequently (2 minutes intervals), reads, responds and sends text messages or social media updates frequently. Her diet is mostly pizza, fried cheese curds, pop tarts, macaroni and cheese, ramen noodles and diet cola. Recently, she has started to smoke cigarettes and vape because of the stress she has in her life and a new friend told her it would calm her anxiety. What recommendations would assist this patient to improve memory, study habits, sleep patterns, stress responses and coping skills.

1.The stress and anxiety generated from life experiences and present life conditions can harm sleep pattern of a person.Meditation can be really help in releasing the anxiety and stress of life.It will build concentration and in turn will help it getting a healthy sleep.
2.Keep a check on why these anxiety and stress is coming in life.If we patient will try to think in a positive way by trying and keeping negative thoughts away from life he can cope up with stress and can study well with concentration.
3.Focusing on long term memory instead of short term memory which can be seen in this case.The patient study one night before the exam and it hider the potential to use the concept by adding your personal ideas to it.The more you focus on long term memory the more your study habit will enchanced.
4. Coping with stress and anxiety is very needy in such cases.The patient with the help of a therapist or counsellor try to understand as how the stress can be reduced.All the negative forces of life are to be desensitize from life.
