You are walking to a critical business meeting at which you are going to close a $100 million deal. You will receive a fee of one million dollar if the contract is signed. However, some major details need to be discussed, and you are the only person capable of discussing them. Suddenly, your best friend in the world-you have know him/her since childhood, and he/she is the closest person to you-rushes up to you and blurts out:" something terrible has happened, and I need your help immediately and desperately. You are the only person who can help me". Remember your friend does not have time to explain. What would you do???

I would get to the business deal because it’s not just about my personal profit but also about the company and the stakeholders of the companies signing the contract. In the meantime, I would request my friend to talk to me over phone and discuss matters while I move towards the meeting room. I would choose this based on the utilitarian model which suggests that an act should maximize benefit to maximum number of people and reduce any harm.
