We were in the team of the organization which is engaged in resolving the customer problem and provide solution for the customer issues. Thus our team’s role I to support customer with their issues/problem faced in using our product. This quality management team comprise of around 15 people in the organization where we have subgroup within the team which are focused on their routine tasks and activities. Thu we have subgroups within the team, which are managing their own tasks/activities for the team.
Yes, we can identify subgroup in our team. The sub-groups are field team, plant team, analysis team and execution team. These subgroups are present in our team based on the skill set and contribution required in the quality management team. The each subgroup plays a key role in the quality management team and contributes effectively to achieve the aim of the team.
The type of subgroups present is knowledge based sub group. The team has knowledge based subgroup because the team need different knowledge and skill et for managing the customer complaints and they need to have different sub-group who can fulfill the need of customer complaint management. The field team needs different knowledge and skill set, plant team needs different knowledge and skill set and analysis team needs different knowledge and skill set etc. Hence all the subgroups are based on different knowledge and skill set. Hence these subgroups are identified based on knowledge based.
The subgroups interact with the team as a whole while managing the customer complaint and fixing the issue faced by customers. These subgroups work in a team concept and each play their role in executing the customer complaint resolution. The field subgroup carries out field activities, the plant team carried out plant activities and analysis team carries out analysis activities and executing team implement the actions required.
The effects of the subgroup(s) were positive, because each subgroup was able to perform their individual role and activities and they contribute in making the whole process run and provide the required help and support to the customers. Thus each play a key role and useful for the business.
