In a 13C NMR without 1H decoupling applied, a CH4 group will appear as a singlet or what other answers is possible? Please show your work. Thank you

Since the spin value is also same of 13C NMR as of proton NMR. Total spin value is considered to be (2nI+1). Here I = 1/2 , so total spin value (n+1). Means in 13 NMR peak the carbon environment will be affected by magnetic field of attached protons, so the single peak of C signal will split according to the magnetic environment faced by it. There are 4 protons attached to it, so it will split into 4+1=5 peaks. The CH4 group will not be appeared as singlet in 13 C NMR . It will be appeared as Quintet in pattern.
