Answer #1

Yes, The database will you from entering inaccurate data on the web form. Every text fields (columns or attributes of the database) in the web form are assigned with a particular data type.If a data type is assigned with date format (mm/dd/yyyy or dd/mm/yy) the user enters incorrect data format for date i.e., dd/mm/yyyy. The database format for the particular field will throw an error during the compilation. In the same way, the column field for the database is assigned with varchar(10), if the user enters more character in the text field i.e., by entering 12 characters in the textbox. It will throw a run time error or exception. This scenario happens during the web development when feeding to the table of the database due to incorrect or inaccurate data entered by the user.Hence the developer choose the correct data type to make this process hassle free.Duplicate entries also leads to inaccurate data and data redundancy.

Before building the database. Designer use the below specified techniques which are -

  1. Constructs an E-R(Entity Relationship) model for the particular database.
  2. Create a database, assign attributes or column values as per user requirement.
  3. Create a table for the database, assign primary key for data Redundancy and foreign key to build the relationship between tables for data integrity and accuracy.
  4. Generate SQL queries for the table using SQL server management studio, oracle,MySQL,MS access etc.,
  5. Use normalization principle whenever needed i.e., 1NF, 2NF and 3NF.
  6. More preference will be given to security to manage database in the organization through SQL injection, Physical security and restricted access to data center.
