3 Why would you choose a  non-experimental approach in your research instead of experimental approach ?

1.) The 5 general problem areas that I would like to conduct my research on are as follows:

• The impact of rapid urbanization on traffic.
• The increased pollution levels.
• Impact of the increasing trend of online shopping on traditional shopping.
• Online education vs offline education
• Impact of political unrest in the country on its economy.

2.) Observations in the given field can be direct as well as indirect and are as follows:

The impact of rapid urbanization on traffic: The increased number of people are migrating to the urban areas that lead to the increased population and traffic as we can see in our day to day life there is a problem of overcrowding everywhere we travel.

The increased pollution levels: All over the world there is a problem with increased pollution be it land, air, or water pollution it is ever rising leading to climate fluctuations and problems like an uncontrollable forest fires, unbearable rains, snowfalls, etc.

Impact of the increasing trend of online shopping on traditional shopping: the Increased trend of online shopping has led to fewer people shopping from the traditional brick and mortar shops. This has created a shift in the way a business operates and the increased use of technology in the business.

Online education vs offline education: Like online shopping, there is a change in the way education is delivered these days. We have an array of online professional courses conducted by the institutes that offer a diploma and certification that has enhanced education to the next level.

Impact of political unrest in the country on its economy: The political situation of the country is an important determinant of its economic situation and how it can be controlled or in other words how the economy can be made more strong to deal with such political situations.

3.) The experimental approach is used to study the cause and effect relationship, the researcher sets the environment and controls the variables for conducting his/her research. Whereas, in non-experimental research, the researcher doesn't manipulate variables but let it occur naturally and study its implication. Thus, I will use the non-experimental approach over the experimental approach for the research.
