You have been tasked with a implementing a system to operate one of the first nuclear fusion power stations - a system with thousands time sensitive inputs to be monitored and act on. You are being pressured by management to adapt a single, common OS to be used throughout, e.g.. windows or linux based solely on your understanding on virtual memory what do you recommend?
Virtual Memory:
Virtual Memory is the type of memory that is been created by using a disk as an extension of RAM so that effectively you can increase the size of a usable memory .
Now as considering the concept of virtual memory i will suggest as the OS that should be used in Nuclear power plants is Linux as it will be the best operating system for a nuclear power plant , As in nuclear plants many sensitive data is to be monitored and as when it comes to virtual memory in Linus operating systems as when working on it see the place where the larger amount of memory available and don't focus on those parts that are been reside on the disk from time to time. As in linux reading from the hard disk is a little bit slower so virtual memory plays the best role there as compare to the windows operating system.
PLEASE GIVE A THUMBS UP!!!!!!!!!!
