4. Build a document containing the following:
a. Place a heading at the top center of the document in all capital
letters containing:
MY BACKGROUND
b. In a paragraph containing complete sentences of correctly
spelled words, please describe the following about yourself:
(1) Where you were born (city, state, country)
(2) What brought you to Middlesex County College
(3) What you are studying at Middlesex County
College
(4) What you like to do in your spare time when you
are not going to classes, doing homework, or working
c. Be sure that all the text is word wrapped (turn it on) so it
looks like a normal paragraph.
5. After finishing the paragraph, do the
following:
a. Insert a blank line by pressing the Enter key.
b. Type the following below the blank line:
Your Name, CSC107-xx, Windows, Notepad, MyInfo.txt
(substitute your own real name)
(substitute the “xx” with your section code)
6. Save the document by doing the following:
a. Click on the File pull down menu.
b. Click on the Save As option
c. Change the drive letter to the drive appropriate of your storage
device by clicking on the pull down menu and selecting it.
d. Save the file by doing the following:
(1) In the File Name text box, erase what is in there
(2) Type in the file name of MyInfo
(3) Leave the extension as .txt in the text box below the file
name
(4) Click on the Ok button
7. Print the contents of the file by doing the following:
a. Open the File pull down menu
b. Click on the Print option
c. Click on the Ok button
8. Close Notepad.
