Yes, in my opinion globalization actually impacts the cultural and economic homogenization. It may be because globalization breaks down the barrier between cultures and economy. This results in the formation of large single culture where consumers prefers the same type of things. One of the big cause of this is the multinational media which shows same type of advertisements this results in the breaking of the cultural and traditional beliefs. As people all over the world are getting exposed to similar advertisement, products and services, which leads to have a similar type of ideas, customs and values.

This era of Globalization has lead MNCs to break all the economic barriers and thus they aims to serve the world consumers as a whole by keeping their preference and interests in an improved manner. A culture of a place gets influenced by another culture and thus leads to loss of it's original culture. So, this way gradually homogenization comes and thus mingling the cultures and economy of other areas in the world.
