Role of strategic direction:

It is a very important concept in organisation.It helps in identifying the type of activities to be done in the organization to archieve the goals being set. Also, it helps in deciding the way the activities will be accomplished so that time and cost is saved. Thus,the overall performance is being affected by the strategic direction.

Types of strategies used by top level management:

1. Corporate level strategies: These are those strategies which help in knowing the aim to be archieved by the organization. These strategies help in identifying the tasks to be done.

2. Business unit level strategy: These strategies help organization in deciding the way to complete the different type of activities.

3. Market level strategy: These strategy makes an organization know how to grow in the market by competing other firms.These strategies help in making business organisation grow and earn a good goodwill in the eyes of everyone.
