I think the answer is AFM . if not why? It could be SEM.

ANSWER- OPTION (b)

AFM (atomic force microscope) ans SEM (scanning electron microscope) both can produce three dimensional image but AFM is capable to produce three dimensional topographical image on atomically smooth surface in greater level of details. SEM is not able to produce this image for such a smooth surface.
