Normality = weight of solute / volume of solution in L * equivalent weight

Equivalent weight = molecular weight / valency

So

Equivalent weight = 42.5 g/mole / 1 eq/mol = 42.5 g/equivalent

Normality = 43.5 g / ( 1L * 42.5 g/eq) = 1.023 eq/L
