Answer #1

By using equation of motion,

s = ut + (1/2)at^2

Where, u is the initial velocity = v

t is time taken = 6.3 s

a acceleration due to gravity = - 9.8 m/s^2

s displacement = - 135 m

- 135 = v*6.3 + (1/2)*(-9.8)*(6.3)^2

v = (-135 + (1/2)*9.8*(6.3)^2) /6.3

= - 9.44 m/s

v = 9.44 m/s
