People in the Northwestern states consume more water per person than people in Southwestern states, even though the Southwest is hotter. Does this mean that Northwesterners like water more, or on average thirstier than Southwesterners? Explain. Perhaps some supply and demand graphs could help.

From the given graph it can actually be understood that 82 the demand for water for the Southwesteners is high the supply is very low so that the price is very high and at the equilibrium point the quantity is is less than that of the north westerners even though the demand for water for North westerners is less.
