To do construction estimate, we have to follow some steps :

i) First, we have to prepare Detailed project report ( DPR) which consists of plan, design,other necessary calculations.

ii) then, we have to prepare a quantity bill , generally known as Bill of quantity, which consists of material quantity with there rate according to rate chart, labour quantity and the rate of other necesaary things.

This bill of quantity is the construction estimation, where based on the plan and design we have to find out the volume and then material quantity by multiplying their density and then accroding to rate chart we have to multiply the rate to find out the total amount.
