Developed countries have great amount of business skills. the citizen have knowledge, skill, resources, strategies, governments etc. These factors makes the nation a developed nation. When it comes to developed countries they have short supply chain. The reason behind is that the market of developed countries are saturated because there are lot many opportunities in the developed countries. So competition is there and companies try to minimize cost as low as possible. Because of that they tend to have lower supply chain. Further the companies always analyze the loopholes and eliminate the intermediaries for same.

In Underdeveloping Nations the resources are not there and appropriate business skills are not there. Intermediaries are much in number because of that the developing Nations and underdeveloping Nations have larger supply chain. For example the under developing Nations majorly depend on agriculture. So the farmers are not educated hence does not have knowledge about businesses. So intermediaries exploit them proceed with yield. Likewise there are so many processes that go through and hence supply chain increases. The lack of infrastructure, resources, knowledge and skills are also factor which increases the supply chain in under developing Nations.
