Which is a better selection method--Resumes or Application Forms? Give reasons for your answer. Also answer to the opinions of any two of your classmates.

I believe application forms are a better form of selection than resumes and the reason behind it is simple. A person creates a resume according to their own considerations, design and highlights their capabilities in order to match the position to their interests. While it is a viable process for the candidates, it makes it harder for the company to conduct the process simply because they have to match the factored of considerations to the job, while in reality, they need to be able to match the capabilities to the job and not the job to the capabilities. After a thorough job analysis, a company can provide application forms highlighting their own requirements and catering the form to their own needs in order to bring about the best possible implementation of the recruitment processes possible for them.
