With passage of time supply chain team have become more dedicated towards being more work efficient, cost effective, dynamic and agile to cater to customer on time. For this there are some set of strategies that they follow :

1) Optimization during product design & development
In this when organizations plan to offer new product to customers their product design must be optimized for supply, manufacturing & process, product designs and management for supply, manufacturing, and sustainability will lead to profitable innovation. Innovation is important for being one step ahead of the competition. For this products must be manufactured at the right cost, place, and time. So it is must required to optimize designs in initial stage.

2) Demand driven planning and business model
The right prediction and contingency planning will ensure an effective response to risks affecting manufacturing. Organizations can adjust prices and introduce strategies to shape demands. The main reason behind this concept is to mitigate risks during uncertain events so that business succeeds.

3) Vigilant supply chain planning with integrated execution
Previously the organizations used to wait until the end of month to shift production and supply based upon market demand changes. But now a model approach engages organization to be more dynamic and continuous to market changes.
