Raymond Kroc, the founder and builder of McDonalds was once the milk-shake machine salesman. In 954, he identified that there was great future for the fast food industry. He imposed quality discipline on the production hamburgers, French fries and milk shakes. In this journey, he envisioned the quality goals. The French fries in Topeka were similar in quality as that was purchased in the New York City. Such high quality food made McDonalds a recognized brand in the United States.
Though there were more than 200 McDonalds outlets in 1960, the franchising fee was very less which made him to barely yield any profit. He then determined the financial goals for his company’s expansion. In 1956, Raymond Kroc set up a Franchise Realty Corporation, wherein he bought tracts of land and became landlords to his franchisees. This strategy made him to reap maximum profits that took McDonalds globally. Entrepreneurial goals were seen in his efforts in advertising aggressively in the nation that made many franchisees to opt for McDonalds. Thus, Kroc had established standards in the quality of food and the raised the industry standards in the fast food industry that is still used today.
