This qualitative systematic review determined the key skills to be an effective physician leader after the implementation of ACA and compare them to the key skills identified prior to its implementation. The main objective of ACA includes, expanding health insurance coverage to an estimated 32 million and also strengthening the existing coverage.

Physicians payments will be based on values not volume. Affordable Care Act 2015, implemented a new provision that tied the physicians payments to the quality of care they provide . Physicians came to see their payments modified so that those who provide higher value care will recieve higher payments than those who provide lower quality care.

Private practice ,group practice, and hospital based physicians rated the imapacts of ACA differently , Physicians in private practice tend to have the most negative perspectives on the ACA and its impact on their work. More tha forty percent surveyed doctors stated that the ACS negetively impacted the cost of healthcare, overall medical practice, the ability to meet patients demand, and their overall sallery. Private practice physicians report being more burdened with paper work for insurance than those in hospital based practice.
