Any light chain can pair with any heavy chain, so there are 108 different antibodies that are possible. Camels lack light chains but have approximately the same level of diversity, about 107 different antibodies. How do you think their heavy chain gene differs from humans?

The only mammal with 2 heavy chain and no light chain in thier antibody is the camel and is called heavychain antibody.These antibodies are small in size because doesnt have light chain and  one of their constant heavy chain and is replaced by extended heavy region.VHH have high solubility and stable and in this antibodies VHH is linked by CH2CH3 domain.The CDR3 region of heavy chain antibodies is extended.The heavy chain antibodies are evolved doue to convergent evolution.These heavy chain antibodies are gamma isotopes and are functional in antigen binding.
