Answer #1

Ans: The seven components of strategic staffing are planning, sourcing, recruiting, selecting, acquiring, deploying, and retaining talent (Phillip & Gully, 2015). Workforce planning is the process of managers and HR personnel evaluating the company’s current lines of business, the availability of current employees, the company’s future employment needs and external hires to execute and meet those employment needs of the company’s business strategy. Sourcing is the recruiting of qualified individuals from labor markets. Recruiting is how firms of all sizes induce applicants of large amounts from selected qualified individuals for available positions (Phillips & Gully, 2015). Getting the right people for the organization is the primary purpose of recruiting. The process of selecting talent is deciding whom to hire and assessing job applicants.
