  1. The byte range in decimal for the first partition of the boot partition is 446-461.
  2. The number that indicates a bootable partition is 80 and is located in Master Boot Record (MBR).
  3. LBA stands for Logical block addressing. It is used for specifying the location of blocks of data stored on a hard drive.
  4. The Master Boot Record (MBR) ends with the signature 55 AA in hexadecimal.
  5. ‘grep’ command or global regular expression print is able to parse information from a text file. For example | grep –i “hello”’ file.txt | in this command ‘grep’ will search lines containing the word hello in the file.
  6. Message Digest 5 (MD5) hashing algorithm produces a 128-bit message digest value.
  7. Secure Hash Algorithm 1 (SHA1) hashing algorithm produces a 160-bit hash value.
  8. In MD5 collisions are easily generated but in the case of SHA1, it is not that easy because it produces a 160-bit hash value so, SHA1 is more accurate and secure.
