In an HIV infection, the amount of lysozyme in saliva and other secretions of the body increases as a defense mechanim to fight foreign substance (HIV).

Normal flora of lungs, which includes bacterial cells, will be infected by and lysed by HIV. So, the number of these bacterial cells will decrease.

HIV also increases the chances of getting respiratory tract disorders. In response to this, the amount of mucus secreted by respiratory tract increases.

It should be noted that all the three options are body's defense against every kind of antigen that enters our body. They may increase or decrease to protect our body from antigen.
