The correct option is "A". When blood sugar rises, the pancreas releases the hormone Insulin. Insulin will convert the free glucose (monosaccharide) molecules to Glycogen (a polysaccharide) and store it in the liver and muscle cells, so as to reduce the level of glucose in the blood.

If someone has high levels of glucagon in their blood, which of the following is NOT true?

The correct option is "C". If someone has high levels of glucagon in their blood, then it is due to the fact that the person has been fasting or not has taken food for a prolonged period of time, hence, the sugar levels have dropped down in the blood. Hence, glucagon will be released by the alpha cells of the pancreas to make the liver cells convert the stored glycogen to free glucose molecules and release it in the blood so that the cells can utilize it for energy purposes.

The correct option is "A".. That is the pancreas donot release insulin.

These individuals will solely have to depend on injecting insulin in their body everyday.
