For example- let's take two different groups of students to compare effectiveness of different teaching methods for psychology classroom. one of the group is taught using lecture method and the other by demonstration method. we will be comparing the performance of students using a psychology test( compare mean scores of both groups in psychology test).  

first group of boys- 30 boys (N1) second group of girls- 28 girls(N2)

Given lecture method (condition/treatment 1) Given demostration method (condition/treatment 2) Mean score of boys- M1 Mean score of boys- M2

And now here we have to administer Independent samples t-test analysis.
