Adjacent bars may touch or may not touch. So option 1 is correct.

It cannot be used with Nominal score because each category isn't numerical it can be Yes or No (and it's corresponding frequency). So we will not be able to show the range on the X axis for the bar graph.

It is used with ordinal scores(where each bar will be as long as the frequency of each class) Eg: Suppose we classify the heights of students in a class in an ordinal scale and want to use bar graphs, then X axis would represent the different heights and Y would represent the frequency. So option 3 is correct.

Option 4 is also correct, a bar graph has vertical bar centered over each X.
