Answer #1

pH of urine = 5.7

pH = - log [H+]

[H+] urine = 10^-pH = 10^-5.7

= 1.995 x 10^-6

pH of lime = 2.0

pH = - log [H+]

[H+] lime = 10^-pH = 10^-2.0

= 0.01

[H+]lime / [H+]urine = 0.01/(1.995 x 10^-6)

= 5012

[H+]lime = 5012 * [H+]urine

urine sample approximately 5,000 times lower [H+] than the lime juice
