a) compound is almost pure as the melting point range i.e. from 126°C to 130.2°C is quite sharp , only small impurities could be there (a little only ) .

b). The unknown compound's melting point matches with option B possible identity (125.5 - 127°C ) and thus unknown compound is this possible identity probably. Option (B) is correct.
