Concave lens is used to correct the nearsightedness (Myopia).

The concave lens makes the virtual image of different objects at far point of your eye so that you may be able to see the things in a clear and comfortable manner by focussing this virtual image onto your retina.

Therefore you are enabled to see even for those objects which are far away from far point of your myopic eye.
