Please answer this social science question to the best of your ability. Cultural capital, as a concept, is one that is variably debated though has been extremely beneficial as an opportunity to think about and reflect upon the realities of our lives, especially as a basis for what's available to us. Warde does good work to highlight that the concept, especially as a Bourdeausian model, has its limits, especially in terms of its use theoretically today (versus in the 70s in France). One of the major ways it has come into play is through the notion of cultural omnivorousness. Question: in 5 sentence or more (around 150 words). How does the idea of what's fashionable exist within a framework of omnivorousness? Make sure to also consider here the role of "elites" or the idea of the upper classes as a supposed barometer when thinking about fashion in general. Is consumption something that you think maintains a class-based hierarchy today?

The term cultural omnivorousness was first coined by Richard Peterson in 1992. Cultural omnivores are those people whose consumption tastes are very high. They are the people with high level of education, high level of society and all. These people like to spend more and more to lead a high quality life. They have different kinds of tastes and diversity in their lives. When we compare others with these omnivores they are diverse tastes of life, they lead high quality of lives. Omnivores are elite people always doing high level of things. General people always try to follow elite people when it comes to fashion. General people wonder about elite people’s way of living, their eating, their dress up sense and all. People in general don’t have that much money to spend on their food items, but high level people can spend more on their food consumption. They use variety of foods items. So, we can say that there is a class based hierarchy, when it comes to consumption something.
