That means that ritalin can be included in this category. For this week's "today I learned" I want you to do some research on a performance enhancing drug. You need to learn about why people take that drug, what the side effects are and how many people are believed to be taking them. Look into both the near and long term side effects of taking these. Include in your post a discussion of why you think that people take these drugs, despite the risks and what can be done to decrease their use. Also, how much responsibility do professional athletes have, if any, when their young fans start taking these drugs to be like their idols.

The drugs are widely used by athletes in order to improve their performance and thereby wins the competition.If they are used the drug at once they are get addicted to this drug and continuously use this drugs.The main effect of this drugs is the addiction.These drugs are the performance increasing drugs.If these are performance increasing despite these drugs have many side effects. These drugs make behavioral,emotional and psychological changes such as aggressiveness ,rapid weight gain,changes in body fluids, muscle growth and increased acne.There are many side effects for these drugs.The major side effects include blood clotting problems,increased blood pressure and cholesterol,liver problems,Potassium deficiency and low sperm production.The increased performance are only for a short time but its side effects are life long.All these side effects are leading to death.so use of drugs is an easy way to the death.The examples for common performance enhancing drugs include creatinine,anabolic steroids and steroid precursors.

The major way to decrease their use is the ban on the selling of these drugs .If they are non availiable they are not used by athletes.Another way is the counseling about the risk of these drugs.The punishments are given for drug using athletes.
