Answer #1

The List of optical space borne sensors :

  • Cartosat-2A(panchromatic Band of <1m)
  • Worldview-2(Spatial resolution of 0.46m-0.52m)
  • Pleiades 1 and 2(spatial resolution of 0.7m)
  • EROSB(Spatial resolution of 0.7m)
  • QuickBird(panchromatic band’s spatial resolution of 0.6m)
  • IKONOS-2(panchromatic band’s spatial resolution of 1m)
  • ORBVIEW-3(panchromatic band’s spatial resolution of 1m)
  • Geoeye-1(panchromatic band’s spatial resolution of 0.41m)

If panchromatic band is available, compared to the multispectral band, the panchromatic bands have very high signals. This capability of panchromatic band makes us to identify or see even a small region. Therefore, Panchromatic has a wide band with lower spatial resolution, which is 50% less than that of multispectral bands. This helps us to see in more finer way.

For example, the panchromatic band of Landsat has a spatial resolution (pixel size) of 1m(or <=1m),which is smaller than the 2m-3m pixel size of its multispectral bands.

    8. The resolution of the eye is 1/x where x is the spatial separation of a line pair. This is often expressed as the angular resolution, which typically is about 1 arc minute per line pair, or about 0.017°. Consider that you are viewing a grating of lines 25 cm from the eye. A. If the lines can just be resolved, how large is the distance between line centers? B. What is the spacing between the lines in the image...

Be sure to answer all parts. The smallest resolution that a microscope can achieve is generally about half the wavelength of the particle probing the sample. For a visible light microscope, this means the smallest features that can be see are about 300 nm in size. The electrons in an electron microscope behave similar to light in a light microscope, having their own wavelength that can be calculated using the equation: λ = (6.626 × 10−34 J·s) / (m ×...

RESOLUTION: This property of the compound microscope is the degree to which the detail in the specimen is retained in the magnified image. It is the ability of a microscope to distinguish two closely spaced objects as separate and distinct entities. Conventional light microscopes have a resolution of about 0.2 μm. RESOLVING POWER (d) is the closest spacing between two points at which the points can still be seen rly as separate entities. The smaller the resolving power, the smaller...

A bungee jumper who has a mass of 85.0 kg leaps off a very high platform. A crowd excitedly watches as the jumper free-falls, reaches the end of the bungee cord, then gets "yanked" up by the elastic cord, again and again. One observer measures the time between the low points for the jumper to be 9.30 s. Another observer realizes that simple harmonic motion can be used to describe the process because several of the subsequent bounces for the...
