How do different types of customers respond to consumer promotions? Please support your response and provide two examples.

Consumer promotions can be defined as the promotional activities that are carried out by marketers with the objective of boosting their sales for a certain period of time. The different consumers will have different types of responses to these promotion plans=

Promotion-prone: Thee are the customers who look for the different types of ales promotions on regular basis and whenever any brand intr0duces any promotion, they are quick to switch to that brand and buy the product to use the deal.

-Brand loyal: These are the consumers who are rarely affected by the promotions as they are loyal to a certain brand and they keep on buying the product even without any promotional incentives

-Brand preferred: These are the consumers who have a limited number of brands to select and if any brand that falls in their accepted brand classification, offers any sort of promotional incentive, they will start buying that brand

-Price sensitive: These are the customers who give importance to the price and no importance is given to the brand. If the price is reduced by a certain brand, they will switch to that brand.

Example=For instance Joy likes the tastes of Nescafe and he cannot think of using any other coffee so he will fall in the category of brand loyal customer and if any other coffee brand offers some additional discounts or another scheme, Joy will not buy that coffee

Example = Jessica is a student and has a limited pocket money so the price of the product is important for her. Although she likes the burger of Burger King, if the price of burger of McDonald’s is reduced and is now cheaper than Buerger King’s then she will switch to the McDonalds’ She is an example of price-sensitive customer.
