Determine if all the ice melts. If so, what is the final temperature of the mixture? If not, how much of the ice melted?

2.Two wind instruments, one open and one “closed,” are played on day when the speed of sound is 346 m/s.

a) Sketch the fundamental and the next two harmonics for the sound waves in the instruments.

b) Determine the length of each instrument for the fundamental to be 294 Hz (D).

c) Two musicians, each with a musical instrument, are on vehicles heading toward each other with a speed, v. At what speed would the musicians hear D-sharp (or E-flat)?

d) A bystander observes the musicians heading toward each other. When musician #1 is 100 m away, the intensity is 1.24 x 10-8 W/m2. What is the intensity AND intensity level when musician #1 is 25 m away?
