National Communication Association Code of Ethics was designed to “inspire discussions of ethics related to all aspects of human communication and think about each of the principles in terms of how they affect public speaking.” Personally, I think that these guidelines were created as a response to unethical behavior related to public speaking. Throughout my educational career, I have noticed that codes of ethics and different laws are adopted and enacted after an unfavorable occurrence has happened and the goal is to deter or prevent another
