Answer:

Photosensitive cells are the one which makes our eyes to get the light and convert into electrical signals and makes our eyes to respond to light. There two types of cells in the Retina They are,

* Rods

* cones

These two are the photosensitive cells or otherwise called as photoreceptors of the eye. When compare to cones cells, rods cells are more than in number and highly sensitive.

But cones cells are the one which responsible for the colour vision and Rods are used mostly in the night times. Because the function of the Rods cells is to produce the vision in Black and white colour. So It will be useful in only in night times or Dark places.

why the cones can able to see the colour vision ; Because It is not highly sensitive like rods, It is less sensitive. So It can able to manage the bright lights or day times.
