Answer- Units must be purchased in September= 32000 units.

Explanation- Sales units in September+ Closing inventory- Opening inventory

= 27000 units+ (47000 units*25%)- ($27000 units*25%)

= 27000 units+ 11750 units- 6750 units

= 32000 units
