There is no wrong answer, simply provide a reason for your thoughts: There was a ballot initiative in California a few years ago, Prop 71, that asked voters to approve $3 billion dollars of federal funds for allocation to public and private research facilities for the discovery of cures for particular diseases, e.g., Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s; or for the development of technology that could regenerate nerve cells, and may even be able to grow various kinds of somatic tissues. The research would use cell lines derived from embryos; consequently, in order to retrieve the stem cells, the embryos would ultimately be destroyed and would never become viable candidates for uterine implantation. I wholeheartedly support this step. Without such experiment medical science will never develop. For the well being of humanity some unethical steps can be taken. Alzheimer is really a dangerous neural disease. Thousands of victims are helpless for this dangerous disease. Such experiment may provide a ray of hope to the future generation.
