answer) a) we know that distance=speed*time

d=v*t,,,,,,,,,,,,,1)

T ( in k)=25C+273 K=298 K

the formula for v is given by

v=331T(k)/273

v=331298/273=345.8237 m/s

so we have

d=345.8237=138.3295 m

so the answer is 138.3295 m

b) we know that time

t=d/v

here v=c=speed of light

t=138.3295/3*108=4.611*10-7 m/s

so now again using eqn 1)

d=v*ttotal=345.8237*(0.400+4.611*10-7)=138.3297 m

so the answer is 138.3297 m or 138.3296 m
