Q1.5 What is Arm® Mbed™? Describe the concepts of mbed cloud services, clients, and mbed OS.

Arm Mbed is a thought that the Internet of Things (IoT) is a collaboration between the people who make things, the people who use things and the people who make the services all these things use. Arm provided a solution to help lead sustainable growth within the IoT and named it Mbed. When we talk about the elements of Mbed together, we talk about the Arm Mbed IoT Device Platform, they are : the Mbed OS developer community, Mbed OS,  Mbed TLS, Mbed Device Connector Service and Mbed Client.

Mbed has a large community of developers, a network of hardware partners, and products and services that serve the IoT market.

CLOUD SERVICES:

If you already have an operating system and you want to keep using it, Mbed Client provides the higher-level cloud connectivity functions of Mbed OS. Mbed Client allows you to use our device services without having to use Mbed OS or Mbed-enabled hardware. You can then benefit from a standard way of connecting to all your devices.

CLIENTS:

It is a library that connects devices to Mbed Device Connector Service, and to Mbed-enabled cloud services from our partners. It is a free, high-level C++ API with porting guidelines and examples that can turn any device into an endpoint to use with Mbed Device Connector.

Mbed OS:

Arm Mbed OS is a free, open-source embedded operating system designed specifically for the "things" in the Internet of Things. It includes all the features you need to develop a connected product based on an Arm Cortex-M microcontroller, including security, connectivity, an RTOS, and drivers for sensors and I/O devices.
