The leader I admire is Mahatma Gandhi. He was a lawyer, an activist who was responsible for the independence movement of India as well as led the civil disobedience movement in South Africa for the people fighting for civil rights.

the main difference of his work from other political leaders is his strong reliance on non-violence. He abhorred it and restrained his followers from using violence as a method for fighting for the rights. He successfully challenged the British government on their tax impositions on salt through his Dandi march and led the Quit India Movement.

Even today, he is seen as a figure of resilience and courage. He was a man of simple means and fought for them with all his willpower and inspired his followers as well as generations to come with his ideologies and strength of character.

PResedient Barck Obama as well South African President Nelson Mandela are said to be ardent followers of Gandhian ideologies.

My leadership style, in contrast, is full of self-doubts and second thoughts. though I am great at planning and organizing as well as communicating the policies and vision of the company, my problem-solving skills requires a bit working upon them. I look towards Gandhi as my idol. I hope someday I can articulate his strength among all the odds and his fighting spirit for his beliefs in my leadership style.

A manager is required to take strong decisions and though I am good at decision making, I believe I still have a long way to go to be considered a strong leader as far as taking decisions is concerned.

Therefore, if there is one quality of Mahatma Gandhi that I would want to adopt, it would be in my decision-making skills and standing firm on my resolve. I think improving on these 2 aspects will increase my efficiency to a greater level and will benefit me as a person and the company I am working for as well.
