When I have two tables on the excel which named (Hours per program and Cost per program) and specified formula = Hours per program- Cost per program
how to do at excel? what is meant by per ??

The two tables in the excel named "Hours per program" and "cost per program" are just the program are just the two table names. They can also be represented as "hours/program" and "cost/program". These kind of data sets are common in real life.

You simply need to apply the formula for subtraction in Excel to get the result. Below I am giving the steps to subtract 2 tables in Excel:

For example, you want to subtract A3 from B3 (refer below screenshot). Use the formula: =A3-B3.

For doing (A4-B4), (A5- B5), (A6-B6) and so on, you need not to do it manually every time,you can quickly add them to formula by simply selecting the corresponding cells.

Here are the steps:

Step 1: Click on the cell in which you want to perform subtraction.

Step 2: Suppose you have the data as shown in screenshot below and you want to subtract data "A3 from B3". Just write "=A3-B3". and hit Enter button.

Step 3: If you want to perform this for the whole table, you just click on the cell where we applied the formula and select the cells (with the help of mouse) where we want to compute the same.

Now, you can see the magic done by Excel. It saved your time and labor by applying formula!
