A skier is launched by a spring that can be compressed by 5m. The skied is launched down a 15.7m long ramp that is at a 50 degree angle to the horizontal (ignore friction on the ramp). Then the track levels out for 90m. In this level area the coefficient of kinetic friction is 0.95. What is the maximum spring constant that should be used for a 75kg person to stop at the halfway point (45m) of the level track? How fast will the person be traveling at the bottom of the ramp?
