1. Sniffing ;- Hamsters sniff when it is observing and curious about its surroundings.

They sniff when they encounter new location.

It is their way of le arning foreign place, where it cannot physically enter.

2.Sleeping ;- Hamsters are nocturnal animals. They remain awake during night time and sleep during the daytime.

Hamsters sleep is disturbed by slight sound and movement and they get easily frightened .

Hamsters resort to nip or bite if they are disturbed.

4. Burrowing ;- Hamsters burrow when they are hiding food or taking out the hidden food.

Hamsters do it regularly and it is normal.

Hamsters burrow when they are sleeping.

5 Run on wheel ;- Hamsters are very active in wild and run long distance.

They keep running in the cage to make up the exercise in the confined space.

This helps in releasing their energy.
