Rod cells are photoreceptors present in the retina of the eye and they function in less intense light than cone cells.
They are involved in dim light(high sensitivity) instead bright daylight in case of cone cells.
Type of vision is black and white in rod cells and coloured in cone cells.
Colour sensitivity of cone cells is red, green and blue.


Thus the answer is b) high sensitivity for detecting light waves, for question 1) and
c) detect fine detail and color for question 2)

After staring at the flag long enough the receptor cells which are responsible for sensing color(cones) that was visible get fatigued :
