Answer #1

Sales forecast is the process of estimating what your business sales are going to be in the future. A sales forecast period can be monthly, quarterly, half-annually, or annually as per the requirements of the business. Sales forecasting done on a month by month basis which will give you a more realistic prediction of how your business will perform than the one “lump” sales forecast for the year. You can also do your forecasts on more regular basis if needed, for example, you can do it on a weekly basis if you are concerned about hitting a monthly sales target.

Sales forecast spreadsheet includes the total units to be sold, unit price, total sales, total profit of each and every month or week according to how you record your spreadsheet(Monthly, weekly, quaterly etc..). so you can check through that which period does the profit milestones occur.
