I think to achieve economic and social goals are compatible. The greater social goal is to allow people to live a high standard of life while achieving health, happiness, and freedom. Achievement of economic goals helps in achieving many of these social goals. Therefore, achieving economic goals help in fulfilling the larger goals of human society.
