Discuss each advertisement answering the applicable questions: What qualities of the medium are being sold? For example, do the ads suggest the communication technology will provide “freedom”? Do they indicate there will be closer family relationships with the purchase of the technology? How is price advertised? Is there an on-going fee attached with the service? What features of the technology are emphasized? Do the advertisements seem to represent the technology accurately or do they only emphasize one or several qualities? How are people in the ads depicted using the technology? Are they shown as happy or joyous? Do they indicate any of the intrusive qualities of the medium? Do the ads seem accurate about how the technology actually works in people’s lives?

I came across an advertisement for a washing powder to be used in automatic machines. I was shocked to see that it only showcased women washing clothes and men were no where to be seen. This clearly pinpointed to the gender discrimination and this is something not liked by people. We need to stay sorted with our mindset and belief system that we follow and know that the changing times will need us to open doors to a changing mindset as well. There is a belief system that things will not get better and it ay get really complex when we try to look into the broad mindsets that govern the aspects of life which we follow.
